Genesis 1

Creation

1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

The Old Testament was written in Hebrew. If one really wants to study the Bible at the deepest level, then one must consider starting this Bible study by learning the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. There are many websites which can accomplish this task. YEBC recommends this link,  Hebrew Alphabet. The teachings in this Bible are transliterated, so Hebrew is not necessary, but highly recommended.

The Hebrew word for "in the beginning" is בְּרֵאשִׁ֖ית (beresheet), meaning in the beginning. The beginning is time, which is a trinity of past, present, and future. God can see the past, present, and future simultaneously.

The Hebrew word for "created" is בָּרָ֣א (bara), a qal perfect 3rd person singular verb, meaning "He created". A qal perfect verb is a completed action of the past. Notice that the subject God is singular in this verb form.

The Hebrew word for "God" is אֱלֹהִ֑ים (elohim), a plural noun, meaning plural gods. Notice that "God" is actually plural in this noun form. The Hebrew noun and verb do not agree, because God is a trinity. The text reads "The plural gods He created the heavens and the earth."

The Hebrew word for "heavens" is הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם (ha-shamayim) with a definite article, meaning the heavens. The heavens is space, which is a trinity of height, width, and length.

The Hebrew word for "earth" is הָאָֽרֶץ (ha-eretz), with a definite article, meaning "the earth". The earth is another trinity of matter, consisting of electrons, neutrons, and protons.

Everything in the universe consists of a trinity of trinities. Everything is made up of matter which is electrons X protons X neutrons. Everything consists in space, which is height x width x length. Everything exists in time, which is past x present x future. Mathematically, it is not 1 + 1 + 1 = 3, but it is 1 x 1 x 1 =1.

Notice that God does not try to prove that He exists, He simply proclaims Himself as the One true eternal Creator God of all things. However, this verse refutes the many human speculations of foolish men who have been blinded by an evil spiritual enemy who wants to devour them. For example,

(1) It refutes atheism, because God created the universe.

(2) It refutes pantheism, because God is outside of His creation.

(3) It refutes polytheism, because one God created all things.

(4) It refutes materialism, because matter had a beginning.

(5) It refutes dualism, because God was alone when He created.

(6) It refutes humanism, because God and not man, is the ultimate reality.

(7) It refutes evolutionism, because God created all things.

It is also important to note that since God has always existed as an eternal trinity, He has never been alone. He has never been lonely. He understands love, fellowship, and friendship. When Jesus Christ came to earth, He was separated from the Godhead for the first and only time of His existence during his three hours of suffering during the darkness of the cross. Jesus understands deity. He understands humanity. He understands divine power. He understands human weakness. He understands perfection. He understands temptation. He understands being one with God. He understands being separated from God. Jesus is the perfect mediator. Allah, Buddha, Zeus, Krishna, nor any other so-called god cannot make this claim.

We must all place our faith in either God's revelation or in man's speculation. The Bible possesses over 2000 fulfilled prophecies to back it up. Man can only guess on what he thinks might have happened, but these guesses are very ridiculous.

For example, there are some men who believe that nothing exploded into billions and billions of galaxies. This is impossible mathematically, because 0 x 0 = 0 every time the math is done. Therefore, either God created all things, or nothing created all things. The latter is impossible, according to the laws of science.

Some Christ-rejecting secular scientists think that some advanced alien life placed life here, but where did the alien life come from? This is not observable science, but faith.

Some Christ-rejecting secular scientists say that the universe self-created itself, but where did the first sub-atomic particles come from? This is not observable science, but faith.

Some Christ-rejecting secular scientists say that the universe has always been eternal and it simply evolved into itself. This is not observable science, but faith. One must either believe in an eternal atom or an eternal God.

There are three essential areas which evolution cannot solve. It cannot scientifically bridge the gap from nothing to something. It cannot scientifically bridge the gap from inanimate objects to life. It cannot scientifically bridge the gap between life and self-conscious human life with a free will.

Evolution should be rejected, because it denies God, revelation, the fall of man, the existence of sin, the virgin birth, the resurrection, the atonement, and the second coming of Christ. Evolution is just as much  a religion as Christianity, but this faith is being taught to our school children and funded by tax dollars. Evolution should be rejected, because it is a false religion taught by false prophets who are disguised as college professors. Creation should be taught, because it was revealed to us by God as truth.

In the public school system, godless governmental leaders tax their citizens and force the little children to be taught that there is no God. Godless school board members approve curriculums based upon evolutionary lies. Children are taught that since there is no God, then there is no hope for man. Since public school humanism falsely teaches that all men are destined to die without hope of an after-life, then they may as well eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow they die. They may as well steal, kill, and destroy, because there is no Divine Judge. This is nothing but Epicureanism, which is pagan Greek philosophy. Epicureanism is satanism, but secular educational leaders do not have enough Bible doctrine to recognize this deception.

In conclusion, nothing cannot create everything. Therefore, there must be a God. If there is a God, then we can only know about Him through revelation. The only book which predicts the future over 2000 times without error is the Bible. All other religious books contain no fulfilled prophecies. Therefore, the Bible must be the only divine book in existence, because only God knows the future. The Bible reveals that God is triune. The Triune Creator Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) "He" created a trinity of trinities, including time (past, present, and future), the heavens (height, width, and, length), and the earth (protons, elections, and neutrons). Any other theory is human speculation. Man is too totally depraved and evil to know God, so God must reveal Himself through His written Word of God. Believers must study the written Word of God at the deepest level so that they will not be deceived by human philosophy.

1:2 Now the earth was without shape and empty, and darkness was over the surface of the watery deep, but the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the water.

The Pentateuch is the first five books of the Bible which were written and edited by Moses. Most of the Pentateuch is one long Hebrew sentence after another long Hebrew sentence, joined mostly with vav conjunctions. The vav conjunctions could all be translated as "and". The vav conjunction shows that one author (Moses) was continuing a progressive and chronological narrative.

Verse two is different. The conjunction "now" is a vav disjunctive, because the Hebrew noun precedes the verb. This construction is abnormal in Hebrew. This means that the conjunction is not continuing the thought of verse 1, but there was an interruption in the chronology of events. The "now" should be translated as "but". This was not a gap theory of dinosaurs where evolutionists can place all of the geological ages. This disruption of events was most likely the fall of Satan, which is mentioned in Ezekiel 28:11-19. This original world of Satan contained the Garden of Eden, which was a mineral garden. Also, the earth possessed no oceans. There is no other place in Scripture to place the Ezekiel 28 fall of Satan, except for between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. This means that the earth can be older than 6000-10,000 years. Ezekiel 28 has more specific details on this pre-adamic world.

The Hebrew word for "was" is הָיְתָ֥ה (hayah), which usually means "was", but in some cases, it can mean "become". Those who oppose the gap theory and the fall of Satan will claim that if this verb was to be translated as "became", then it needs a lamed. A lamed is a Hebrew preposition usually meaning "to".  However, this is not always the case. It is true most of the time that this verb is translated as "was". However, in this verse, "became" is most likely the better translation.

The Hebrew for "without shape and empty" is תֹ֙הוּ֙ וָבֹ֔הוּ (tofu wa-vohu). This combination of nouns is joined by a vav. This combination is used in two other places, such as Isaiah 34:11, where it is translated as "confusion and emptiness". It is also translated in Jeremiah 4:23 as "waste and void". Since the original earth was not created in confusion, emptiness, waste, and void, the text reads that the world became confusion, emptiness, waste, and void. The original creation of the earth "became" in this condition after the fall of Satan. The mineral garden in Ezekiel 28 was destroyed and replaced with the vegetable garden of Genesis 1. The minerals on the earth were covered with the waters of Genesis 1. There are two clearly different worlds in these two verses. The first possible world was when Satan reigned over an angelic world. The second world was the pre-flood world of Adam, Eve, Noah, and all of the other pre-flood inhabitants. The third world is the modern world of today. The fourth world will be that of the 1000 year Millennial Kingdom. The fifth world is the Eternal Order, which was first mentioned in Revelation 21-22.

The Hebrew word for "hovering" is מְרַחֶ֖פֶת (marichaphet), meaning a dove hovering over her young, as she is attempting to hatch her eggs. The Holy Spirit is not an active force as the Jehovah Witnesses falsely claimed. The Holy Spirit is a personality, the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit was involved in the creation of the universe.

The Hebrew word for "darkness" is חֹ֫שֶׁך (hachshek), meaning darkness. Darkness is usually a symbol of evil, death, and divine judgment. Some examples of darkness being used as judgment are Exodus 10:15, where the plague of locust darkened the land of Egypt; Exodus 10:21–23, where the plague of darkness covered the land; I Samuel 2:9, where God assigned the wicked into the silence of darkness; Job 3:4, 5, where the darkness of death was present; Psalm 35:6, where God will pursue the sinner into darkness; Psalm 105:28, where the plague of darkness was judgment; Isaiah 8:22, where the sinful kingdom will be driven into darkness; Isaiah 13:10, where in the Great Tribulation the sun will be darkened; Isaiah 45:7, where God created darkness and calamity; and Joel 2:2, where the Day of the Lord will be a day of darkness.

The Hebrew word for "deep" is תְּהוֹם (tahum), meaning the deep, the sea, or the abyss. The newly created earth became the new abode of Satan. Satan was originally in the garden of the original earth, when it was made of minerals and it had no oceans. Now, oceans have been created out of the chaos that Satan instigated. When the new earth appears in the Book of Revelation, there will be no more seas (Rev 21-22). It will be covered with shiny minerals, similar to the original creation of the earth mentioned in Ezekiel 28.

1:3 God said, “Let there be light.” And there was light!

Notice that speech existed long before the foundations of the world were even created. Speech did not evolve in man after several millions of years. The divine Trinity was speaking and communicating with each other before the universe was even created. With their speech, the Triune Creator God planned out every detail of life on earth in advance. They left nothing to chance. There is not one molecule that came into existence without being programmed by the Triune Creator God.  There is not one squirrel who can even jump from one tree to another without God's pre-planning. God knows the end from the beginning, because He pre-planned it. He will never be taken by surprise. He is the Author and the Originator not only for all life, but for all of history as well.

The Hebrew word for "let there be" is יְהִ֣י (yahaya), a Qal imperfect jussive 3rd person singular verb, meaning literally "he was continually and forever desiring to exist forever". The Hebrew word for "and there was" is יְהִי (yehi), a Qal imperfect 3rd person singular verb, meaning "and he was existing forever". Both of these words are the root words of the Hebrew name of God, which is Jehovah (or Yahweh). Most Hebrew students pronounce the name of God as Yahweh, but the best Hebrew scholars pronounce his name as Jehovah. The Jehovah Witnesses are a cult who mix truth with error. They may be right about the pronunciation of the name of Jehovah, but they are wrong in teaching that Jesus was a created angel.

The Hebrew word for "light" is א֑וֹר (ohr), meaning light. This light is not the sun, because the sun was not created until day four. On day four, a different Hebrew word is used for "sun", מְאֹרֹת֙ (maor), which is a feminine plural, meaning the sun and the moon. Until the fourth day, a different light source was used to illuminate the earth.

Therefore, the first words of God that are recorded in the Bible are יְהִ֣י אֹ֑ור וַֽיְהִי־אֹֽור (yahaya ohr wa-yaha ohr), meaning literally "he was continually and forever desiring to exist forever as ohr and he was existing continually forever as ohr." Notice that the Hebrew text does not say that the Triune God spoke this "ohr" into existence.

Since different Hebrew words were used in verse 3 and 14, then this light must have been another source besides the sun. Since the light was not created and it existed for eternity, this light must have been the Shekinah Glory, the visible presence of God. The Millennial Kingdom will need no sun or moon, because the Shekinah Glory will also light up the Millennial Kingdom. Therefore, in creation, the Father was active in verse 1, the Holy Spirit was active in verse 2, and the Messiah Jesus was active in verse 3. The Shekinah Glory was the Light of the world. Jesus said, "I am the light of the world". Jesus was the eternal Shekinah Glory in verse 3.

1:4 God saw that the light was good so God separated the light from the darkness.

Only God is good, so this is another reason to interpret this light as the Shekinah Glory. The darkness was separated from the light of the Shekinah Glory. Light can dispel darkness, but darkness cannot dispel light.

1:5 God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” There was evening, and there was morning, marking the first day.

The Hebrew word for "day" is י֥וֹם (yom), meaning day. Sometimes it can be used as a long time period of time, such as "the Day of the Lord'. However, every time in Scripture that י֥וֹם (yom) is used with a cardinal number, it means a literal 24 hour day. Notice also that this day possessed an evening plus a morning. Therefore, this was not a long geographical period of time as theistic evolutionists falsely claim. The Jewish day began with evening and not morning. Sometime in history, it seems that Satan reversed this process in almost every other culture, placing the morning before the evening.

1:6 God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters and let it separate water from water.

The Hebrew word for "expanse" is רָקִ֫יעַ (rakia), meaning stretched-out thinness. God created a water vapor canopy in the sky, different from the water that was created on the earth. This water canopy would turn the earth into a virtual greenhouse where plant and animal life could thrive.

1:7 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it.  It was so.

The water vapor above the earth would be icy cold. The canopy would block out harmful radiations from the sun, but allow the good light to pass through, making the greenhouse effect more adaptable upon the earth.

1:8 God called the expanse “sky.” There was evening, and there was morning, a second day.

Since there was an evening and a morning, this was a literal 24 hour day.

1:9 God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place and let dry ground appear.” It was so.

Notice that the water was gathered into "one place". Many geologists teach that at one time, there was one continent called Panagea. They also teach that after many billions of years, this continent has divided and rejoined together many times. This geographical concept is called the continental drift theory. It was discovered by Alfred Wegner in 1912, but the Holy Spirit mentioned this as a fact 6000 years earlier than Alfred Wegner. What most likely happened is that there was one continent, as mentioned in this verse. However, the dividing of the continent occurred supernaturally at the time of the flood.

1:10 God called the dry ground “land” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” God saw that it was good.

At this time, there was one continent but many seas. The seas were most likely very shallow.

1:11 God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: plants yielding seeds according to their kinds, and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds.” It was so.

The land immediately began to produce vegetation. All of the mountains, rocks, trees, and plants were created with the appearance of age. Therefore, modern scientific aging devices cannot be completely trusted.

Each seed consisted of a divinely inspired DNA code that allowed a wide horizontal variation, but not vertical evolution, as some Biblically-ignorant scientists falsely claim. There are many varieties of dogs, but they all come from a "dog-kind".

1:12 The land produced vegetation – plants yielding seeds according to their kinds, and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. God saw that it was good.

Notice that the Word of God states that plant life existed before the sun and before animal life, which is a contradiction of Biblically-ignorant evolutionists. There are at least twenty contradictions between the creation account of God and the evolutionary theory proposed by evolutionists.

Many skeptics will ask "How did plants exist before the sun"" The answer is that light was created on day two. Therefore, the light necessary for plant life came from a non-solar source, because the sun wasn’t created until day four.

1:13 There was evening, and there was morning, a third day.

Notice that each day had a morning and an evening, meaning that this was a normal 24 hour day.

1:14 God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them be signs to indicate seasons and days and years,

On the first day, God said "let there be lights (א֑וֹר, ohr). On the fourth day, He used a different Hebrew word, as He said, "Let there be lights (מָאוֹר, ma-ohr). The sun and moon were created on day four. Notice that trees and plants were created at least a day before the sun. The Shekinah Glory would have provided photosynthesis for all trees and plants simply by His spoken Word or just His simple thought.

The Hebrew word for "signs" is אוֹת (oath), which is the same word used for Cain's mark and Noah's token (rainbow). These signs were created by God to signify some type of spiritual concept. It is very possible that the original zodiac was "the way" to Jehovah, the one true God, but Satan later perverted this zodiac message.

Notice that on day four, God had already established seasons, days, and years. These lights in the sky would separate these seasons. This again shows that these days were not long geographical ages.

1:15 and let them serve as lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth.” It was so.

The sun shines directly on the earth. The moon reflects light to the earth. Therefore, they both bring light to the earth in different ways. This verse is not teaching that the moon is a star. It just teaches that the moon reflects light to the earth.

1:16 God made two great lights – the greater light to rule over the day and the lesser light to rule over the night. He made the stars also.

God has made billions of stars. Their purpose is to shine light upon the earth. Since it takes millions of years for star light to reach earth, then God had to create the star and the light simultaneously. Therefore, scientists are wrong when they measure the age of the universe by measuring the time it takes for star light to reach the earth. God also gave each star its own individual name, all trillions of them.

1:17 God placed the lights in the expanse of the sky to shine on the earth,

These two lights were created after the creation of trees, plants, and shrubs. Evolutionists are wrong when they claim that the sun was created before the earth, trees, plants, and shrubs.

1:18 to preside over the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. God saw that it was good.

These lights were used to separate light from darkness.

1:19 There was evening, and there was morning, a fourth day.

This was a literal 24 hour day with an evening and a morning.

1:20 God said, “Let the water swarm with swarms of living creatures and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.”

There are three heavens. The first heaven is the sky. The second heaven is outer space. The third heaven is God's throne room. The birds fly in the first heaven. The sun, moon, and stars circulate in the second heaven. God's throne room exists in the third heaven.

1:21 God created the great sea creatures and every living and moving thing with which the water swarmed, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. God saw that it was good.

The Greek word for "created" is בָּרָא (bars). This Hebrew verb is used for animal life, but not plant life. Animal life has consciousness, but plant life does not.

The Hebrew word for "great sea creatures" is תַּנִּין (tanim), meaning dragon, sea monster, or serpent. This Hebrew word is often used as "dragon" in Scripture, so this could be a reference to dinosaurs.

1:22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds multiply on the earth.”

God multiplied the animal and plant life. Man attempts to exterminate it. The Endangered Species List is a result of careless men who live in the satanic world system. If Christ does not return, then man will eventually pollute all animal and plant life. He will eventually pollute all of the air, water, and minerals of this earth. However, Christ will return before man completely pollutes and destroys the planet. Global Warming will not occur, because Christ will return before man destroys himself.

1:23 There was evening, and there was morning, a fifth day.

Since there was an evening and morning, the fifth day was a literal 24 hour day,

1:24 God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: cattle, creeping things, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” It was so.

God created domestic animals (such as cattle, sheep and goats), creeping animals (such as insects, lizards, and amphibians), and wild beasts (such as lions, tigers, and bears). God does not use the same taxonomy system as modern biologists.

1:25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the cattle according to their kinds, and all the creatures that creep along the ground according to their kinds. God saw that it was good.

These three groups can only produce after their own kind. Therefore, there is no vertical evolution, only horizontal.

1:26 Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth.”

Elohim, the Triune God, is having a divine conversation with Himself. This cannot be the angels (as Jehovah Witnesses falsely claim), because according to Isaiah 44:24, God said that "I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself." God is taking counsel with Himself (not angels), because man was created in the image of God (not angels). The Hebrew plural pronouns show that God is a Trinity. Man was created in the image of God, so he is also a trinity of body, soul, and spirit. The body is the material part of man. The soul is his personality. The spirit is the spiritual part of man that connects with God. Plants are made with a body. Animals are made with a body and soul. Only man possesses a body, soul, and spirit.

Why do the Rabbi of Israel not recognize this great truth of the triune nature of God? They did, but they tried to explain it away with a joke. The Midrash Rabbah on Genesis records, "Rabbi Samuel bar Nahman in the name of Rabbi Jonathan said, that at the time when Moses wrote the Torah, writing a portion of it daily, when he came to this verse which says, "And Elohim said, let us make man in our image after our likeness," Moses said,

"Master of the Universe why do you give herewith an excuse to the sectarians (who believe in the trinity of God)." God answered Moses, "You write and whoever wants to err let him err."

1:27 God created humankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them.

Notice the shift from plural pronouns to singular pronouns. God is not only a trinity, but He is also a unity. He is three personalities in one God.

Man was not created in the image of a monkey. He was created in the image of God with an erect posture, eyes that gaze upward, facial expressions that show emotions, a brain with complex reasoning skills, and a tongue designed for articulate speech. Also, God would one day appear to man in this same type of body. This is the body that God chose to communicate Himself to man.

Man was created in two different sexes. Each sex was made in the image of God, able to demonstrate such divine qualities as a moral conscience, abstract thought, appreciation of beauty, emotional feelings, and the capacity for worshiping and loving God.

As for DNA, every person in the human race carries the DNA not of monkeys like godless evolutionists want one to think, but of Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were created in the image of God. Therefore, every human being carries the DNA of God.

Man was created for a divine purpose. Man was given ears so that he can hear the Word of God. He was given eyes to study the Word of God. He was given a mind so that he can understand the Word of Gd. He was given a will so that he can apply the Word of God. He was given a mouth and tongue to teach the Word of God. He was given hands to do the work of God. He was given feet to take the Word of God to others. Man breathes the breath of God. Man's body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Man eats and drinks to give him energy to do God's work. Jesus chose this body to communicate God to man.

1:28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply! Fill the earth and subdue it! Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that moves on the ground.”

Notice that man and woman were to exercise dominion not over other men, but over the creatures of the earth. The satanic world system attempts to make slaves of men. God made men. Men made slaves. World history is the history of slavery. Some men are enslaved to other men. Some men are enslaved to their debtors. All men are enslaved to sin.

Adam and Eve were told to be fruitful and multiply. God was speaking to Adam and Eve, not to the modern church. When God said this, there were only two people on the earth. Now, there are five billion. This command was not for our current dispensation.

Adam and Eve were told to rule the earth. They most likely had many of the abilities of Jesus, who was called "the second Adam". They may have been able to turn water into wine, curse the fig tree, heal the deaf, cure the blind, calm a storm, multiply loaves and fishes, etc.

1:29 Then God said, “I now give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the entire earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.

Man was originally created to be a complete vegetarian. At this time of creation, there was enough energy source in plant life to sustain man's energy level.

1:30 And to all the animals of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to all the creatures that move on the ground – everything that has the breath of life in it – I give every green plant for food.” It was so.

There were no deserts, uninhabitable regions, mountains, frozen tundras, or ice caps at the beginning of creation. All land produced a vegetation diet that could sustain man. Therefore, there was plenty of food everywhere. It grew naturally. Man did not have to work and sweat to produce it. He could spend all of his time searching, seeking, and learning from God.

1:31 God saw all that he had made – and it was very good! There was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day.

This six day of creation was "very good", meaning that there was not millions of years of geological ages where creatures died and evolved into other creatures. This death and destruction of the evolution process is taught by Biblically-ignorant scientists, but it is not a part of the inspired, inerrant, and infallible word of God.

Either God divinely revealed creation to man, or man must resort to the speculations of other finite modern men who were not even present at the time. The Lord Jesus Christ confirmed the Genesis account, so it seems that He would be the better resource, since He was there. However, those who have never even studied the entire counsel of the Word of God will place their faith in Biblically-ignorant men who were not present at the time of creation.

The modern skeptic will believe the words of any man on television who speaks wearing a white coat and glasses. This is the foolishness of men. Instead, the atheist, agnostic, skeptic, evolutionist, and cultist needs to look not to the speculations of men, but to the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God.

In conclusion, Exodus 20:11 states that “For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and made it holy." Since Moses was speaking by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, then the heavens and earth were created in six literal days. This is why each day contained an evening and a morning. Any other theory is human speculation by foolish men and should be discarded.
