Psalm of David.

David wrote this song, perhaps when he was taking the ark of the covenant to Jerusalem.

24:1 The Lord owns the earth and all it contains, the world and all who live in it.

Jehovah owns everything in the universe.

24:2 For he set its foundation upon the seas, and established it upon the ocean currents.

Jehovah established the foundations of the world.

24:3 Who is allowed to ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may go up to his holy dwelling place?

During the Millennial Kingdom, the Holy Place will be established in the Millennial Temple in Jerusalem. David asks two questions: The first question is, who will be able to ascend to the mountain of Jehovah during the Millennial Kingdom? The second question is, who will visit the Holy Place of the Millennial Kingdom?

24:4 The one whose deeds are blameless and whose motives are pure, who does not lie, or make promises with no intention of keeping them.

The only person who can visit Jehovah in heaven is the one who is sinless, pure, honest, and without deceit. The Lord Jesus Christ is the only human who fits this criteria. Those who believe in the Lord Jesus are given Christ’s righteousness as a gift.

24:5 Such godly people are rewarded by the Lord, and vindicated by the God who delivers them.

Godly people are those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Those who believe will be given eternal crowns at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Those who believe will be given salvation by God. They will be declared righteous.

24:6 Such purity characterizes the people who seek his favor, Jacob’s descendants, who pray to him. (Selah)

Israeli messianic believers who seek Jehovah’s favor will be declared pure and righteous. “Selah” means to meditate and think upon this spiritual insight.

24:7 Look up, you gates! Rise up, you eternal doors! Then the majestic king will enter!

The majestic King is the Messiah. At His Second Coming, He will enter through the Eastern Gate as the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

24:8 Who is this majestic king? The Lord who is strong and mighty! The Lord who is mighty in battle!

The Messiah is the majestic King who will be given the throne of David. He is strong and mighty enough to defeat the Antichrist and banish him into the Lake of Fire. At the Battle of Armageddon, Jesus will win the battle with one word.

24:9 Look up, you gates! Rise up, you eternal doors! Then the majestic king will enter!

King Messiah will enter through these eternal doors.

24:10 Who is this majestic king? The Lord who commands armies! He is the majestic king! (Selah)

The King who commands angelic armies is King Messiah.
