A psalm; a song for the Sabbath day.

The author of this song is unknown. This song was sung on the Sabbath day.

92:1 It is fitting to thank the Lord, and to sing praises to your name, O sovereign One!

It is a good thing to thank the Lord and to sing praises to Him. Most people berate God’s air, eat his food, drink his water, wear his clothing, live under his shelter, but they never thank God for these blessings.

92:2 It is fitting to proclaim your loyal love in the morning, and your faithfulness during the night, 92:3 to the accompaniment of a ten-stringed instrument and a lyre, to the accompaniment of the meditative tone of the harp.

It is good for people to worship God with instruments. There are some churches who will not allow musical instruments in their worship. This is legalism. Legalism is an addition to Scripture. God should be praised with song and instrument.

92:4 For you, O Lord, have made me happy by your work. I will sing for joy because of what you have done.

Mature believers who master and apply Bible doctrine are very happy with the work which God has done for them. They will sing with joy, because they are excited about what God has done for them.

92:5 How great are your works, O Lord! Your plans are very intricate!

The mature believer who masters and applies Bible doctrine will praise God for His great works. He will recognize the intricacy and details of God’s divine plans.

92:6 The spiritually insensitive do not recognize this; the fool does not understand this.

Unbelievers are spiritually insensitive. Baby Christians are spiritually insensitive. Fragmented Christians who have not studied the entire counsel of the Word of God at the deepest level are spiritual insensitive. Spiritually insensitive people will not be able to discern the great deeds of God. They will live life as though God does not exist. They will waste away their lives, doing nothing for God. When they do nothing for God, then they are aiding the satanic world system. They are fools, because their life is being spent on the things of the satanic world system. Many people will spend their lives studying art, entertainment, sports, academics, and science, but they spend little time in the Word of God Those who do not master an apply Bible doctrine at the deepest levels are fools. There is nothing more important than studying the mind of Christ at the deepest level.

7 When the wicked sprout up like grass, and all the evildoers glisten, it is so that they may be annihilated.

The wicked will wither and die like grass. They will have all of eternity to think about their rebellious attitude.

92:8 But you, O Lord, reign forever!

God rules forever, so believers need to focus on eternal and not temporary things.

92:9 Indeed, look at your enemies, O Lord! Indeed, look at how your enemies perish! All the evildoers are scattered!

The enemies of the Lord will not make it into heaven. They will die and be scattered in graves all over the earth.

92:10 You exalt my horn like that of a wild ox. I am covered with fresh oil.

God polishes the horns of the mature believer. The horns give the mature believer supernatural strength to accomplish God’s will.

92:11 I gloat in triumph over those who tried to ambush me; I hear the defeated cries of the evil foes who attacked me.

The members of the satanic weld system will attempt to bring down a mature believer, but they will not be able to succeed.

92:12 The godly grow like a palm tree; they grow high like a cedar in Lebanon.

The godly are those who master and apply Bible doctrine. They will grow tall and strong like a palm tree. They will grow as tall and strong as the cedar trees in Lebanon.

92:13 Planted in the Lord’s house, they grow in the courts of our God.

The mature believers will be cedar trees who are planted in the courts of God’s own house.

92:14 They bear fruit even when they are old; they are filled with vitality and have many leaves.

The mature believer will grow old, but he will still produce fruit. Old men who have studied the Bible at the deepest level for fifty years can produce much fruit. Their divine viewpoint is so strong, that they are the ones who should be leading governments, businesses, and school boards.

92:15 So they proclaim that the Lord, my protector, is just and never unfair.

God protects the mature believer. He is just and fair. Everyone needs to proclaim these divine truths.
