A song of ascents, by Solomon.

Psalms 120-134 are called “the psalms of ascents.” A better name would be “the songs of the pilgrim caravans.” These pilgrimage songs were sung when Israel traveled upwards to Jerusalem (usually in caravans) during the Jewish feasts of Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles. Four of these songs were attributed to David. Solomon wrote one of these songs. The other ten songs are anonymous. The author of Psalm 127 is Solomon.

127:1 If the Lord does not build a house, then those who build it work in vain. If the Lord does not guard a city, then the watchman stands guard in vain.

If one builds a house without God, then their work will be emptiness. If God does not guard a city, then all of the watchmen in the world cannot keep it safe. God determines who wins battles and wars.

127:2 It is vain for you to rise early, come home late, and work so hard for your food. Yes, he can provide for those whom he loves even when they sleep.

If one works all day without the Lord, then all of his work is useless. All of his work is being done to build up the satanic world system.

Notice that God will provide food for His own. This means that the children of God never need to worry about hunger, uness God chooses them for the martyrs crown.

127:3 Yes, sons are a gift from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.

Children are a gift from God. It is evil for a fornicating parent to abort her own chidden.

127:4 Sons born during one’s youth are like arrows in a warrior’s hand.

Sons were valuable to ancient Israel, because they produced a safety in numbers network against foreign invaders.

127:5 How blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! They will not be put to shame when they confront enemies at the city gate.

The leaders of the modern satanic world system desire to decrease the population of true believers. They establish governmental projects which abort babies and pass out condoms to high school students. According to the Word of God, sons are a blessing to fathers, because they are like a multitude of arrows which can be used against the enemy. Since sons are a blessing to a righteous nation, Satan desires to bring curses upon a nation by eliminating male children.
